Bassenthwaite
Village Nr Keswick Lake District
Turn off the A591 six miles from Keswick and along
a country lane into the delightful village of Bassenthwaite
which nestles at the foot of Skiddaw. Our farmhouse is by the
stream and a white wooden footbridge where ducks swim happily
all day. A gentle stroll further up the riverside takes you
to the 17th Century Village Inn where good food is served,
ideal for an evening meal after a day on the fells or touring
this delightful area.
